Academic Support

Academic support mechanisms are discussed in the Sixth Form assessment tracking and intervention section of the Sixth Form Website

Pastoral Support

As a relatively small Sixth Form College, attached to the support network of a school, we offer a wide ranging pastoral support programme. The ultimate goal is that through effective pastoral support, that academically you will flourish, and your future will be bright.

The Sixth Form team is made up of the Head of Sixth Form, the Sixth Form Manager and a team of 7 pastoral tutors - who will deliver a programme of Leadership, Organisation, Resilience, Initiative, and communication (LORIC).

Parents and students are encouraged to liaise regularly with the team to ensure that the transition into the Sixth Form, and their Sixth Form journey are seamless and positive. We are here to help!

Well-being and Safeguarding

The primary role of the Sixth Form is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students. As well as educating you through the mind field of ‘staying safe’, we are aware that the pressures on youngsters are immense and that mental health should be addressed and spoken openly about.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Mrs Watling and Mrs Shepherd is our Deputy Safeguarding Lead.

If a member of staff has a concern regarding the safety and welfare of one of our students it is reported directly to the designated lead.
