Disadvantaged Students & The Pupil Premium
.Disadvantaged Students - Understanding Pupil Premium Funding and Our Strategy
What is Pupil Premium Funding?
Pupil Premium Funding is a vital initiative by the UK government designed to improve educational outcomes for students who may face financial and social challenges. This funding aims to close the attainment gap between disadvantaged students and their peers, ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed regardless of their background.
Eligible pupils include:
Children who have been eligible for free school meals (FSM) at any point in the last six years.
Children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months.
Children from service families.
