Year 9 Options

We are approaching an exciting and important stage in your child’s education where they make decisions about their Key Stage 4 Options. Making informed choices are therefore crucial to the children in securing successful outcomes and for their enjoyment over the next two years at school. At Thurstable School, we are proud to be able to offer a broad range of subject options, allowing students to pick a combination which is right for them. These combinations will allow students to pursue a range of interests that lead to a wealth of careers in their later life.

The interactive options booklet below provides a more detailed overview of each qualification offered to ensure that you have all the information you need to make the right choices. I strongly recommend you spend time with your child, reading this information so that you are both well informed before they commit to their final choices. If your child is still unsure, they are encouraged to speak to any of the staff in the contacts section should they need further help making decisions.

To make submitting option choices even easier, students will need to submit their choices online after Options Evening.
