Well Done Year 13!

Sixth Form students at Thurstable School received their results this morning feeling huge pride, accompanied by the relief of knowing they had securely navigated their A Level and BTEC courses in a time of global crisis. We are immensely proud of all the work and achievements of our students who have received their A Level and BTEC results today, especially after such a difficult and disrupted year.

There were some amazing individual results.

Finn Beauchamp achieved 2 A* (English Literature & Language and History) and 2 A grades (Art and Economics) and is going to the University of Edinburgh to study Fine Art.

Thomas Goulden achieved a brilliant 3A* (Mathematics, Physics, Extended Project) 1 A (Further Mathematics) and a B (Chemistry) in his A Levels and is going to defer his university place for a year to the University of York to study Mathematics & Physics.

Annabelle Bradshaw achieved a phenomenal Distinction* in her BTEC Sport and Health and Social Care Double qualifications and is going to the University of Essex to study Sports & Exercise Science.

Jake Godderidge scored 1 A* (Economics) and 2 A grades (Mathematics and History) in his A Levels and has secured full time employment with the Bank of China in London.

Meanwhile, Grace Butcher is going to take a year out before deciding which university is best for her to study History having got 3 A* grades (History, Sociology, Extended Project) and a B grade (Textiles)

These are just a selection from many individual achievements and we are exceptionally proud of all of the Year 13 students who since returning in March have worked tirelessly to achieve the best grade possible. We congratulate all of our students for their hard work and determination throughout their studies and must also thank our staff and parents who have supported them on their journey. We are proud of all of our students and we look forward to seeing what they will achieve in the future.
